Adding videos to discussions - how does this fit into the rules??

Hello all, I am looking for a bit of clarity regarding the guidelines, as I have heard different people say different things. Is it ok to include a video from youtube to a discussion if the discussion is about the video, or the video highlights aspects of the discussion. If you own the video that you are using, would this conflict with this guideline:- Advertising of any sort - This includes posting affiliate/referral links, directing people to your profile or web page or encouraging people to message you for information. I personally think that it is acceptable if the video is relevant - but is it? I would like to put up some videos of my certain things as they will add a more detailed portrayal of the discussion, and nothing to do with directing people to my webpage. . . If the wife puts the video on her youtube account, would that be better as I will not then be directing people to "my profile / webpage"? Many thanks for the advice.

Just to confirm what was already said, videos are fine, as long as it isn't leading to a monetized page.

I'd like clarification as well. I think it could lead to abuse to allow any linking to monetized videos. Friends can do each other favors. I use my real name, not everyone does.
