Wins and Losses

That's what a Sunday is all about. They are much shorter than they look, and so often, one finds there isn't enough time to do everything they didn't do but meant to do on Saturday.
I got up early so I could get some things done before I had to leave for church - Win!
The clothes I was going to wear looked so hideous that I changed at the last minute and left late for church - Loss
The new technique I was trying out for looming sock toes worked like a charm - Win !
Working a loomed sock from toe up means that you bind off at the cuff, making it much less stretchy and hard to put on - Loss 
I noticed I had earned some money on myLot in my absence - Win! 
Because I was absent all day, I now have a zillion comments and responses and discussions to catch up on - Loss 
I suppose every day is filled with wins and losses. What were your wins and losses today?

I resolved my issue with my tracfone before church--win. We went to church--win. We went to a store in a different town to get a few groceries and a tracfone card for hubby, planning lunch from a salad bar--win/loss, the store had no salad bar. We came back home through our previous town and ate Mexican food--win, the food was good, loss, we need to stop eating out. It is all a balance.

@GardenGerty It's easy to eat out a lot when you're in the middle of a move and your life is up in the air.

Yes, it would be a terrible loss if I had nothing awaiting me in myLot. I make all the socks I wear in the house and those I wear with boots in the winter, but so far, I have not mastered making socks thin enough to wear with shoes. But, I am still working on that. Meanwhile, I love thick, warm socks to pad about the house in. My feet really hate shoes.

Zillion comments and responses in my eyes could be a win
My win was that I got aguy to do some hard work in the garden and lose is Preiti is still not showing improvement.

A few wins, no losses. The wins weren't too exciting but if I have to choose one, I managed to clear the huge pile of laundry! Yay

@Rollo1 I added a heavy foam spine cushion at home, so mine works. I need one at work too...but these are 50 bucks,.

I went to that other site just curious about those being paid. It appears 3 or 4 not dozens (loss). In the first 20 minutes I flagged a bunch of cheaters and did a post on the event. (plus) I realized and felt how much of a ghost town the site is and I'm so happy to be here where I am comfortable and haveing fun. That is a win win. I made biscuits to have with chicken chili tonight and they didn't burn but they are darker than I like them, (Loss)...although they will be tasty - another win...

As I suspected, more not paid than paid. I feel bad for those hanging on, but I don't begrudge the winners their payments. It's not anyone's fault that others didn't get paid. We all deserved it, but at least a few are happy. Maybe they hoped to get some good posts and stop the bleeding. But if too many tell that they didn't get paid, it won't do them much good. Biscuits are good, they are tasty . Always a win.

wins were lovely friends after party, a generous breakfast made for me, a lift to the tram stop, no rain. Losses - broken washing machine at home, resetting clocks due to hour change, mum being a bit catty, too tired to write much,

I played an out of town music gig that I thought might be a free gig. I made $80--win.
Not many people responded to my posts or comments on MyLot in my absence and I made very little--lose.
I got several likes and five comments on my first Bubblews post in several days--win.
I had to write a document for someone evaluating my teaching this evening and got it done while sipping single malt Scotch--win.
The Oakland Raiders won a football game (I don't care that much)--win.
I got the last of the papers I had to grade this weekend done before I left for the gig--win.
