My paranormal experience

I watched an old Hindi film Kohraa. And while visuals don't do the damage, haunting music and sounds do affect me I think. Last night there was power outage, and dad and me got to experiment our vocal chords, and I sang the song from the horror movie. Could not sleep much because the song scares me still. It is rare that I don't fall asleep fast. So I walked. I had leg pains, got up and drank water, plenty of it. You know what happens after drinking too much water. So finally after I slept a few winks, and got up to go to restroom, may be I dozed a bit. I was suddenly woken up by a loud sound almost calling my name in a distorted way. It felt as if the person was standing next to me in the restroom. Boy, was I scared. I tried to convince me it was the bird outside, or may be I was dreaming. I went to my bed and lay down. Imagination, what have you, it felt as if the person was there alright... What do you do when you are so scared? Close your eyes, and wish it away. This time sleep was kinder, and in the morning I was fresh. Now, I am left to wonder whether I was hallucinating, or whether it happened. Even worse, will it happen more often now. I am scared alright.

I would pray. I often have pretty bad nightmares, and often wakes immediately up as I conclude my prayer.

Yes. But if you are walking and you can see the moon lit sky and the dark tree branches, shaking only a bit, it all conjures up to a scary image that is hard to let go. I told me, if I am good, god will take care of me, if I am bad, I have nothing to fear the bad ones, do I? lol

@vandana7 I actually think my anger has saved me in a situation like this. When I was young, I lived in a "haunted" house, where there was lots of unexplained things happening all the time. Doors can open 'n' shut themselves. Some time, I see a blurred figure from the peripheral vision. One day I was hovering between the state of sleep 'n' awake. I saw a figure came into the bedroom and started to mess around with the furnitures. I was so scared that I tried to recite a Buddhism Mantra.. I failed. The figure laughed at me.. you'll never be able to get it right, he said. I felt this intense feeling of despair, as I realised he meant to do me harm. Then all of a sudden, I became angry, so vexed by the thought of this, my thoughts were as yours, "if I'm going down, you're coming with me!" I woke up promptly.. shaking in rage and sweat. Since then I've become a believer of Christ. If I run into an encounter like this again, I would pray and feel the warmth of his protection. Hope your evening is good, and you will not encounter this again.

If you watched that movie, and saw that lady walking towards beach, or saw her in white gear and her foot prints on floor, you would be nervous too. I don't get as scared of English movies as I get of Hindi movies, and the primary reason I feel are the songs with which I identify some.

@vandana7 haha I understand. there are some scary english, non english and indian movies. I think the atmosphere often creates more horror than actual ghost. atleast that is for me.

This is why I refuse to watch horror movies and I rarely have any of these crazy scary times.. My friend watches them all the time and is constantly being spooked by everything and afraid to be alone.. :)

I at times have these carry overs from Horror Movies. Worst, when I wake up in the dark and they all seem to come to me for a visit I know, there is nothing but still, I feel scared. I cover myself up in that bedsheet and try thinking about other things to divert the mind. And soon, they all go away.

I can ask the same question you are asked when you enter the Mystery House in Disneworld "was it real, or was it your imagination?" You will never know.

Scary movies don't affect me as much as real-world events that make me feel out of control. Sounds like you had a scary dream, though.

I guess you will have to wait and see if it happens again, then you will know if it was real or mind over matter.
