Forsaking the Almighty God

Jeremiah 19:4 "For they have forsaken me and made this a place of foreign gods; they have burned incense in it to gods that neither they nor their ancestors nor the kings of Judah ever knew, and they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent." We can compare ourselves to Israel. Once we chose Jesus as our Savior and the Almighty Father as God of our life, we are His. But how about the way we worship Him. Does it brings joy to Him or not? He gave His words through the Bible and all the stories/histories we can study but then, still nowadays, many God's followers and believers are following what the Israelites are doing. " They forsaken God, have estranged place and burned incense in it unto other gods, and filled this place with the blood of innocents." Now, ask yourself, do you do what the Israelites done? Well, the answer is many. There are many Christians who forsaken God. They use idols carved to worship. They use image and pictures. Many will disagree but they are using these while they do worshiping God. If you are facing the image while you sing and pray that singing and praying is given to the image infront of them. Some people go to estranged places to worship. I don;t want to mention places here in the Philippines. During special days, they go there to offer prayers and songs. Where is our God? He is in heaven. We can pray to Him anywhere and not using images, idols or pictures. It is hateful to Him, an insult and an abomination. The 2nd Commandment shows how God hated people who worship idols, images, and pictures. I know what I write is something in disgust to others but I want to know your opinion about it. Negative or positive talks is highly welcome and from these we can learn each others faith.
