Life with a toddler is never boring. It's usually quite entertaining at my house!
It seems like my daughter is always making up names for things. Sometimes we know right away what she wants and other times it takes us a little while to figure it out.
The other night we knew right away what her newly made up word was for.
We were having nachos for dinner. I had ground meat, re-fried beans, cheese, chips, guacamole, onions, black olives, jalapenos. In other words, we had the works!
My youngest had a plate and I put everything on it for her to try. She loved building her own nachos and was trying everything out.
After a while she looked up from her plate and said "Mom, I need some more bean butter please."
I am sure you can figure that one out. Yep - bean butter = re-fried beans!
Does your toddler make up words for things?

My grandson, Jaypee, is 2 1/2 years old. O, he is very talkative. While he was lying down for a nap with his bottle of milk in his mouth, I approached him and said: "Hi, Jaypee!" He put down his bottle of milk, looked at me, and said: "Quiet, papa, I am napping!"

How cute, I remember the funny sayings my kids made when they were toddlers.
