I think i should start selling these wheelbarrows and the government can buy from me. I talked of corruption in my previous post and now look at this one. Someone gives a report of how money was spent and a wheelbarrow budget where one is bought at Ksh 109,000 which is approximately $1090. I wonder if the wheelbarrow drives itself or what does it have to make it so expensive. These politicians will finish us

This is totally blatant. Some politician got a receipt for the wheelbarrow from the vendor and they split the extra profit.

Believe you me the money does not even reach those who win these tenders, they only get what they agree on the tender and the rest is just a manipulation of the report for the big fish to pocket the extra

@Missmwngi The tenders also go to relatives or friends rather than the best tender, which is a common practice everywhere.

@Asylum Actually here they can even go to themselves. They just come up with firms and employ people but they are the owners

LOL . . You remind me of what is also happening in my old country - the Philippines. Corruption may even be worse than in your country!

In Kenya? That sounds like the kind of things that happen in the US. I think all governments become corrupt.

That is blatant corruption, it reminds me of a political expenses scandal we had here a few years ago someone was claiming for a moat!
