I buy Horizon brand milk at the Kroger store by the gallon. It costs approx. 7.00 a gallon. You can buy it whole, 2 percent or 1 percent or even skim. I go for either whole or 2 percent by the gallon. It costs roughly twice the price of non-organic. I think it is one thing I can enjoy that I know for a fact Monsanto has not ruined by altering it's DNA and such. God bless you Monsanto. I mean that sarcastically. LOL I know you can buy milk for under 3 dollars by the gallon non-organic but I don't want to anymore. I gave up beer, wine, cola and some coffee and some tea so I feel it is only fair I get the most from the organic milk. I even like Almond milk. It is just not the same, however as the good old taste of cow milk. My grandparents drank it right from the cow farms before Monsanto even existed. At least I have access to organic milk which is better than not even having that choice. Does it bother you that there is so much out there that is non-organic? I mean, altered genetically so it can be somehow bigger and more disease and insect resistant? Once you get to tasting organic milk you will get to liking it more and more. You don't have to be a rich man to buy it, just have to cut back on the soda pop.

I buy only organic foods anymore, I found out some 20 yrs ago that if I stick to organic food I wouldn't get those dreaded leg cramps at night. Now I only get them if I get too cold. Did you know you can get organic milk at Walmart or Target?

Thank you for that. I have seen Horizon milk at Target. I think Oak Farms and Borden sell organic milk as well to name a few major brands I am familiar with here in big D.

You are welcome @lookatdesktop I wrote a post on bubs about organic milk once upon a time because I was floored when the ingredient panel shows they had included fish oil in the milk. I've done a bit of checking and the organic whole milk (housebrand) at walmart doesn't.

@rebelann fish oil is fine but I prefer it when I eat salmon or take an omega 3 fish oil gelcap supplement to lower my serum cholesterol.

Please do. They are very nutritious. I even eat lots of celery with Marie Colander's ranch dressing. It may be just celery but it's organic celery for goodness' sake.
