In fact most of the time I just play in the swimming pool or beach. I barely can swim for 50 meters continuously. It is too difficult for me to swim further because I don't have the strength to do so. Whereas my son is 11 years old but he can easily swim for 1000 meters without breaks. That's so amazing.

There are various factors.
1. He is young. You too might be but may not be as energetic as him.
2. He might be experienced.
3. With practice, you too can excel swimming.

I might float now but couldn't swim if my life depended on it. I used to have to reteach myself to swim each summer. My cousin had taken me down to the deepest part of the pool one time when I was very young and threw me in the water. I was traumatized by it. I had thought he was so nice and believed him when he said I could trust him.

To be honest I never learned to swim. It is something that is on my bucket list before I die, I want to learn to swim.

@youless Yea, I need to break down and take some swimming lessons. I have put it off due to the fact that I have Chronic asthma, and can't hold my breathe for long periods of time. I still want to learn though.

This summer I was at the lake almost every day...I'm in love with the water, and I wish I could have spent more time there:)
