If You're Confused

by the weather we've been having lately, imagine the confusion in nature. I just got back from counseling and I was looking at the trees. As the leaves are falling and swirling around the ground, the branches have new buds on them. It's as if it were early spring again and not the middle of fall with winter supposedly on the way. It makes me wonder what kind of winter we're going to have. Will we have snow this year or 80F. Mind you I live in Wisconsin and it's usually in the 40s this time of year and thinking about the first snow. Now I wonder when that will happen. Are you having unseasonably warm weather where you live? Thanks for reading.

It was unusually warm in October, but this week we're getting colder weather, which is more normal. It's in the 30's.

I'm in Ontario and it is very mild here. We broke records for warmth every day of this week, but there is a front coming thru this evening and I think that will all change. I have a terrible sinus headache, so I hope that this front comes and goes and I can get along better.

I've had a few sinus headaches recently too, Julia. I normally will get migraines, and after taking meds for that ailment, I realized later it was my sinus instead. Then I had to wait four more hours before taking those meds. I only took one pill, but it did wonders for me.

@MarshaMusselman I'm just kind of putting up with it, I will take a pill in a while and go to bed early so that it can work. I wasn't able to eat supper because chewing seemed to be too much of an effort, I just feel really miserable. I hope that I wake feeling more myself tomorrow.

If it would not snow at all this year I would not care.

It is pretty warm here this week. But it does happen once in a while, so there is nothing new.

Did you not have warmer weather for the last several weeks, or was it only this past week, Marie? It's been unseasonably warmer all of October and up to today here in Michigan. Tomorrow it's supposed to drop in temps, but only twenty degrees. It'll still be about ten degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

Heard yours should be warmer, and ours in Texas should be colder and wetter!

Several years ago we had February with extra hot temps into the eighties, if i remember correctly. Did you have that warmer weather too? I know it caused all our regular trees to bud and all the fruit trees to begin flowering, then we got another good frost which killed everything. The regular trees recuperate fine, but the fruit trees never got over it that year. Hopefully this warmer weather doesn't ruin next spring for everyone, especially the growers and farmers. I know the lakes in Michigan are finally back up in depth after being too low for many years, so even without the normal precipitation, we should be fine there, but I don't know how it will affect other areas of nature.

I don't recall, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen. I've seen a few February's with warm temps.

Winter did come early for us here in Mainland China, so it is really cold here in Beijing and most of the northern provinces. In the south where we have Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Guangxi and etc., they will have a milder winter where snowing is a rare occurrence.

Sounds like nature is terribly confused.. we don't have too many seasons here for nature to be confused.
