Would you enjoy spending a month of solitude in a beautiful natural setting? Food and shelter would be provided but you would not be allowed to see nor communicate with any other people. Explain ....

Yes, I can spend one month in solitude in a beautiful place. To be with nature is a great thing. Actually nature is the best friend. It only gives something us. No return is required. We get good health, breeth, peace lot of natural sites. So it is very easy to be near to nature even in solitude.

I dont want to be alone. If I am allowed to be with my family, I'll grab that opportunity. I really dont want to be among strangers.

I wouldn't want to be among strangers either, but totally alone, I could enjoy.

When I got canned from work, I was home without a car for over 3 weeks. That was painful. I didn't have a way out of here. It really made me feel trapped and secluded from the world. There would be no way I could survive alone for a month.

I do hate being without a car, so I know what you mean there. However, if I was totally secluded and didn't have people bothering me and could just read and do things like that uninterrupted, I still think I'd enjoy it.

I could easily handle that provided all the food and shelter was there.

being a loner at heart, I would really enjoy that as long as it was when my child was much older.. I would not be able to hang without being or contacting her at her young age :)

You can't see or communicate with people so no tv or radio. You could probably have music and boardgames (but no one to play them with). You would have protection from animals and the food and bed would be nice. :-)

I don't think I would enjoy that. Maybe a couple of days to clear my mind, but a whole month would feel like a very long time alone. I'm a social butterfly and I would feel odd without anyone to talk to. Plus...I'd really miss my husband, friends and family. :O/

Not I, I go crazy just 2 days from my kids. Tho I like peace and quiet once in awhile, I crave the hectic lifestyle. Plus Im too much of a people person, and talk way too much, I dont think myself could survive with just myself alone. I would drive myself insane :P

I would love one month of solitude. Even when I am alone in the house, it is never quiet because the dogs are constantly barking. I would sit and read everyday, write poetry and just relax in the beauty and glory of God.

I know what you mean. I have a barking dog, a talking bird, cats pestering me to be fed, and a telephone ringing.

I could do it because there are times when I would like to be a hermit. Besides if I want intelligent conversation I can talk to myself. Joking

As tempting as that sounds right now, and believe me it is, I don't think I could handle a month alone without some sort of interation with other people. I'd need something after awhile, either a person to talk to or the internet. Humans are social creatures by nature and even your ones who prefer to be alone do seek out interaction, it might just be in ordering a pizza but it is interaction with another human. So a few days would be nice but after that I think it would be very hard.
