"Honey, Please Throw Those Curlers Away!"

Is there any one (ladies) here using hair-curlers still?! My wife does and she is driving me insane (not crazy) looking at her sporting those curlers that I believe became popular in the 18th century. Last night she prepped her hairs again with those curlers. I pleaded to her to throw those curlers away. "Honey, please throw those curlers away; we are in the 21st century already! ", I told her. She giggled but did not remove them. Whew!

I don't wear them anymore . I instead use a hair straightening iron . Maybe you should give her as a gift a curling iron .

@LadyDuck O, my wife loves to sport her hairs both ways - - bit curly today, straight tomorrow. Sometimes she sports the Jacqueline-Kennedy-hairstyle.

@Auntylou I am so sorry for your loss. I don't remember the last time I used heated rollers, but I loved the set I had.

@Pattitude, I will tell my wife that your 88-year-old mum still uses curlers. She may not use her curlers for now . . coz by the time she's 88, no more curlers for sale. She is 52.

@antonbunot She could probably find some, if she looked hard enough! Probably, eBay! My mom also does ribbon curls. She used to cut up old bed sheets and would roll our and her hair with them!

I know . . but those curlers of my wife are 20 plus years old. She only uses them once in a while when she wants her hairs to curl a lil bit. When she was in her 20's and 30's, she looked good with those curlers; but now that she got curls on her face and neck, those curlers on her head give me nightmare at night!

O, she sleeps on a very soft pillow. She does not put on those curlers every night. She usually put them on Saturday night to have a little curly hair when we go to church Sunday morning.

@delyaj30 I don't think she is doing it for me. She knows that I am allergic (hate) long hairs, I love seeing women with short hairs. . and yet she keeps sporting her hairs long!

LOL . . Okay, don't mention my short pleading-story to your mom. She might get mad at you. Just leave her alone.

Guess she just loves curly hair. Maybe you should treat her to a permanent wave!

@auntylou My Mom gets a perm done once a month and that perm only lasts a few days. I think the whole business is a conspiracy to take away old lady money.

@sallypup LOL . . . my wife does not go to hair salon. She waits for our daughter-in-law, a professional hairdresser. They come for a visit from Regina to Calgary twice a year.

I hated those things, firstly they were hard to sleep with and secondly my hair never looked right. Butt, perhaps she just wants to make you proud when she flaunts her curly locks.

Ha! Ha! Ha! Why not suggest to your wife to have her hair curled at the beauty parlor, my dear Julito? Know why? I used to wear curlers at night too. They hurt and they gave me headaches too!
