People listen to songs because they enjoy the different parts of it. The song becomes good if most of these things are good when combined. Things such as the rythm, melody, beat or lyrics. If all of these are combined it becomes a song although there are instrumental songs having lyrics helps make the listeners understand the message or what the song is about.

Actually some songs nowadays don't have nice lyrics , but still they are a hit . That's because their tempo is something that can make one feel like dancing .
