I think the level of thinking is the most important part in a friendship because if the thinking is not the same, clash will occur!! Whenever I am with my friends we talk about our ongoing lives and some old memories plus we play some games too!! When it comes to hating someone, I will say I don't hate anyone but if someone carries a huge ego, it bugs me a lot!!

I won't say I hate anyone!! Even my ex who dumped me a few years ago!! If someone is having problems with me an is ready to get into argument with me, he/she will get a good piece of my mind but I will not hate that person!! I mentioned in one other discussion last week that I don't keep bad feelings about anyone!! When someone is wrong, I will say it out immediately in front of that person, rather than keeping it to myself. This keeps the air clean!!

For me, common interests are important. Most often these days, that's playing acoustic music. But it can be psychology, woodworking, vintage audio gear, liking sports, etc. I think I'd have a hard time being close friends with someone who didn't share some interests with me.

Yes! Common interest is soooo important. If you guys are different, it's boring to say NO all the time. Why? They'll come surprisingly. Just wait :)

@jhieeen We're mostly supportive of each other. As for dislikes, it would be people who are too rigid or opinionated. Or perhaps too angry to enjoy the good times.

a good non-mean sense of humour, getting on ok with my other friends, willing to talk if needed, and happy to join me for films, drinks, etc. Dislikes - bullies, vandals, pedantic loudmouths, people who gossip and put others down at every opportunity
