Yesterday my phone went off and I recognised the sound as not a text or a phone call, but a Facebook personal message. I wondered who it could be.
It was from a friend, letting me know she was in the Victoria State Library in Melbourne, Australia. I was so envious. I knew she was in Australia, but hadn't realised she was going to Melbourne.
She remembered the State Library is one of my favourite places to visit in Melbourne, so flicked me a quick photo in a message. I go there every time I'm in town. I find the atmosphere both relaxing and stimulating.
That was such a nice way to have my day punctuated with a quick glimpse at the library without even being there.
The photo here was taken on my latest visit there, In August.

It is nice to make someones day like this. Imagine how fantastic it is now a days to relay something instantly across so many miles rather than waiting weeks for a post card or photos after their trips!

I do not remember when it was the last time I visited a library perhaps when I was in college. Reading has never been my interest apart from a few magazines and the newspaper. I used to read but now with so much going around here I hardly find the time.

As a certified nerd, it is always a pleasure to visit libraries in foreign lands

It's a beautiful pic of your favorite place, my dear! No wonder you like that place. Me? I haven't been to beautiful places overseas. I just see thosr in pics. But, if by chance I can go out of my dear Philippines, I want to be in San Francisco, California. For what reason? I don't know. That place just popped up in my dreamslist when I was in high school.
