It Got Worse !

At home , the tiles of our ground floor bathroom is light yellow . However , it would be splattered with the bubbles of the soap hence they leave white marks on the yellow tiles . I tried cleaning them with bleach , but still they have the whitish marks whenever it’s already dry. So I asked from the utility girls at the office what they use at the comfort rooms to make those white tiles spotlessly clean. And told them my bathroom tiles problem . They told me to use the toilet bowl cleaner instead which they use to clean those white tiles at the comfort rooms . And when I did , it made the whitish mark so obvious now , since they’re of light yellow color . So every time I go to the bathroom and sees them like that , I spray them with water and they would be gone but still when they dry , it’s worse because the white mark is now so obvious . Anybody here please who knows how to remedy it ? But I think it can’t be anymore .

I am afraid once the color of the tile has been lost it cannot be restored. Using the toilet bowl cleaner could even out the marks in the long run.

I realized after seeing the result that the TBC has bleach so that's why it turned the light yellow to white . Too late , i have done them .

@SIMPLYD I understood that but if you continue to use TBC you could help even out the marks so they don't stand out. They also have a certain amount of acid in them.. that is why the color washes off.

there is that Mr. Muscle spray. have you tried that? We have not tried that yet, because the stains in our bathroom can be removed with Zonrox or vinegar.

Actually, before it was just those splatter of the soap suds . But i wiped it with the toilet bowl cleaner and it got worse . The whitish marks are now so obvious . I just don't mind them anymore since they can't be removed anymore by anything .

How about putting a rag dampen with vinegar over the white marks. Leave the rags overnight and see if this will work. I am using this to remove the hard water deposits on my sink so maybe it will help you too.

Two ways as I see it now - 1. Either change the tiles - as the tiles are quite sensitive and once damaged - the shine, the color or even a break, these need to be replaced. Or 2. Continue using the toilet cleaner so that the other tiles look similar and give you a homogenous look. Back at my dad's place they got this tile thing messed up. They had some stains and the people whom the owner had entrusted the work used some acids - leaving horrible marks right at the center of the drawing room. 3 years down they had to change all the tiles (36 pieces in all as they could not be made to look similar, forget the attractive part)..

I think that is what should be done - to change the tiles into white so when you bleach it , it won't get a different color . But that would be so expensive ! Never mind , just bear that kind of tiles .

I fear that you cannot remedy anymore, you had to use a product to remove limescale deposits. It's better to use commercial products because if you try with the vinegar or the lemon juice you risk to turn everything white.

Toilet bowl cleaners are often too strong for other surfaces. However if the damage is not permanent you can put vinegar in a spray bottle. Spray it several times and it should help.

Toilet cleaner would have bleach in it I should think, so that may have done the damage.
