Cold Night for a High School Football Game

It was a cold, frosty night for a high school football game. I watched as the Berkley Bears were defeated by the score of 38 to 6. When you are in the district finals, some teams are just plain better than others. Such was the case tonight. The cheerleaders froze. The band froze. And the scoring by Berkley froze. Oh yes, my nose froze as well.

One of my not so fond memories of my first year playing high school ball is of sitting on the bench on a cold and rainy Friday night when we were getting badly beaten. Now, that's misery!

Ronald, I'm glad our memories are similar. I take it your professional football career was about as successful as my professional baseball career. But hey, we can both say we played high school sports!

I remember those cold nights when I was a cheerleader back in the day. I miss those days but I don't miss standing out there freezing each day and night we had to cheer.

I take it this is not Berkeley California, as both the spelling and weather are wrong. Where is it, then? When I played baseball for a small college in Iowa, I remember freezing April rain running down my back. It was not glamorous.
