After almost three years Bubblews has shut down. I've just been over there and there is a notice to that effect there, I loved Bubblews, it was my very first writing site, and I was active there until the end. I made a lot of good friends there, and was able to learn to express myself via the written word, and I'll always be grateful to it for that. So, farewell Bubblews, I'll miss you.

I didn't want to believe that another site was going to shut down. BUMMER. Well, I suppose I won't be collecting that $43. Arvind really blew it when he grasped for Sweeble.

@rebelann As you say - BUMMER. I was owed more than you, but I kissed that goodbye a long time ago. I would have been quite happy writing there for free if they'd come clean with us, and if there were enough people there to read our stuff.

Speaking of Sweeble, did it ever get off the ground and if it did, can we access it to ask Arvind about retrieving our content from the late, great, B.

Bad news @DWDavis it doesn't belong to Arvind, he tried to steal it from the lady who owns it and I've heard he's being sued, that's the rumor anyway.

I have nothing good to say. The people made the site, not the owners, not the site's layout, not the admin, no one made that site what it was except the writers. I congratulate all who left in January, I wish I had. But then, I would have missed having those several months with friends. Sad? Yes. But maybe not so sad that I won't send some nasty tweets to the perpetrators.

Bubblews was my second writing site, my first, Squidoo, had the same sort. The management changed, everything became a real mess and the site was shut down. I am sorry, it was a nice site until it lasted.

I was on Squidoo, too. Have you ever found a new place for your articles there? My hubs have tanked. Wizzley is still a good option, but I've given up on writing online sales articles.

@Sheilamarie78 I have not moved mine to HubPages and I have not republished my Squidoo articles, they were pretty good. I do not know what to do of them.

I guess we expected this to happen sooner than later. The team was more interested in their new venture than in Bubblews.

Wow. I am actually shocked. I mean, I knew they were having problems since I got duped, but I never actually thought it would fully close the doors. Serves them right I guess for not paying the people that actually stuck around. Good riddance I say.

@DanieGirl80587 I know that a lot of people feel like you do, but I don't. I don't believe they ever meant to cheat people, they were just in over their heads businesswise.

I agree @jaboUK I also think that at 25 years of age they had no clue how to run a business, now their reputations are ruined and they're not yet 30.

I will miss the Bubblews from the past but the Bubbles who stop paying and communicating will not be missed. I'm glad they pulled the plug, It was a ghost town.

@sishy7 You and I were there till the end, Sishy, but I feel relief too. I have been expecting to find it shut down every time I've been there, now we just have to move on. At least we have a good site like this to use.

@jaboUK Funny, but it is a relief. No more doubt, no more questions. No more wondering which posts to delete, no more wondering if they might pay you if you stick around. It's over, and now we can move on much more easily.

I was just over there yesterday and saw no indication that the site was calling it quits. I cannot say as I am surprised, though. Guess I can kiss the balance I had in the bank good-bye.

It was so obvious it was going to happen very soon and it did. That is the price of not being honest with the members. The moment you cheat them, they will leave and without them you will little by little die.

@AdrienneJenkins Yes, the earnings are really just peanuts here, but they are nice peanuts. And so far they are not just paying, but paying before they need to.

@troyburns Oh yes Robin, I've got them all. I always wrote them elsewhere anyway, and copied and pasted to Bubblews. Even if I hadn't done it that way, there has been plenty of time to get them as we've known the site was going down for months now.

I am so disappointed in these BOYS that got something great going and failed. It was not through lack of encouragement from the writers nor the input from us all to the end. I just wish I could have taken down my 1500 posts first

@Inlemay Hi Lany, disappointing is the word. if they'd only had some good business brains on board it may have been a different story. I thought you would have had time to take your posts down as the closure has been on the cards for some time. I have all mine saved but didn't have even a third of the amount you have.

RIP Bubblews I will also miss Bubblews, lots and lots of memoires there. I met of many wonderful people there including my ex-partner. I enjoyed Bubblews writing over 2800 posts and boring everyone about daily life. It's a shame the way the website went after the big changes, I love it until then, Bubblews will be sadly missed.
