This story is for Christians who believe about the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to our Lord Jesus Christ, the kingdom of God is like the ten virgins who were waiting for the coming of the groom. You can find this parable in Matthew 25:1-13. There are ten virgins who are waiting for the coming of the groom. Marriage in the Middle East happen during the night. So the ten virgins are waiting. According to Jesus, five of them are wise because they brought oil on their lamp while the other five virgins are foolish because they did not bring oil for their lamp. Since the groom coming was delayed, they slept. When he came, the wise virgins got up to met the groom but the five foolish found their lamp without oil. They asked the other five virgins for oil and they advised them to buy for oil in the nearby story. When they come back, the door was shut and when they called the groom, he said that they don;t know them. All Christian believers are waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. All believes in Him but not all have the Holy Spirit that guides them. They are not really connected to God through mind, heart and soul. They are called foolish since the word of God is not their best guide but then they used the doctrine of men. Wise virgins are the true followers and believers of God who obey His words and commandments. They are connected to God in everything they do. They have the Holy Spirit that binds them to the God Almighty. Let everyone have understanding about the things of God. Hope that everyone are waiting our Lord's coming with the Holy Spirit in their lives.

This scripture has many lessons for us even beyond this. We need to be wise in all of our endeavors so that we are prepared for everything thing that comes our way, including the return of the Lord.

That is true Gerty, we need to be prepared for any eventualities that come our way, most of them are not the ones we expect so we need to be ready on a regular basis.

That's true. We must study more the word of God and behave what God wants us to do for others. We must connect ourselves to Him always. have a complete faith in Him.
