The binge trap

Late last week, I felt like watching a movie but nothing really jumped out at me. But I had seen something that had reminded me of one of my favorite shows, Avatar: The Last Airbender, so I decided to rewatch that for the sixth time. My thought at first was to watch an episode or two a night after I had done some writing and felt like relaxing. However, I have fallen into the binge trap where now I’m watching about ten episodes a day (they’re only 22 minutes each, so it’s not that bad) but I’m thinking I should watch even more. The sooner I finish the series (and the sequel, Avatar: The Legend of Korra) the sooner I’ll be able to get back to work. In theory at least. Do I try to be somewhat productive today before rewarding myself, or do I be unproductive for several days with the hope that then I’ll be productive?

Moderation is the key. It is easy to get into binge watching.
