Oh no, had to start my post over

I hate when that happens. I am posting away, and all of a sudden, I hit something on the keyboard, and poof the post is gone, and I have exited out of the discussion. I have done that more than I care to count. It is so aggravating, as i wasn't done posting, and hadn't clicked on comment, and I was out of the discussion. I went back and found it again, and had to try to remember what I had said in the first place. I think I get over anxious, and start hitting things with my fingers. I guess I better tie my hand behind my back, but then, I couldn't post, unless I use my nose. Not sure how that would work, and I am not willing to try it either. I guess I enjoy mylot so much that I just post away and never pay attention to what I am doing. Dang, got to pay more attention, so I don't have to tie my hands behind my back.

Now, I would like to see you write a discussion with your nose. Can you take a picture while doing it, so we can all see? I never done it with a discussion, but I have with a comment. It happened just this morning I wrote a lengthy comment to Sofs, and it just vanished, so I had to rewrite it. Which I hate doing, cause I hate repeating myself.

Yea, I know what you mean. I think it would be a funny picture to type with my nose. It would be hard to do too, as the words wouldn't make sense, and be a bunch of gibberish.

@TexanTornado Yea, it really would be. It would be the first picture ever like that, I bet.

@rosekiss You have a point there. Too bad you can't have a discussion like that and everyone discuss based on the picture. I think it would be funny.

Maybe you want to do what quite a few other Members do write in Words or notepad first and then copy and paste it on here

@Marilynda1225 I need to to that from now on, especially when I want to start a discussion. Fortunately, it wasn't a discussion I was starting, but a response I was making to another person's discussion. I had to find the discussion and post it again.. I got it posted though.

Yea, tying my hands behind my back wouldn't be to good, that is for sure. I will just have to take my time and make sure that I do what I need to do to get my posts submitted.

@Hatley Yea, I know what you mean, as I sneeze a lot too, and sometimes I just keep sneezing over and over, and I wonder when it will stop.

Yea, that is for sure. I am glad though that I am not alone in this. I was just so over eager I think, that I hit a key I shouldn't have, and poof, it was gone. I went back to the discussion, and retyped the response, and nothing happened that time.

I've just done the same with my latest discussion, and I've no idea what I hit to make it disappear. Anyway I always copy and paste from elsewhere, so there was no harm done - I just pasted it again.

@jaboUK I am certainly going to try to keep my fingers off the keyboard where they shouldn't be so it doesn't happen agai. Thank goodness, it has only happened a few times, so I haven't had to redo my posts all that much, and for that I am happy too.

I don't know what I hit either. One time it was there, and then poof, it was gone just like that. I had to try to remember what I posted so I could redo it. I need to put them elsewhere so I don't have to start over. I finally got it posted though. I will just have to watch what I hit on my keyboard, so it doesn't happen again.

Experience talking here: do not attempt to kick yourself in the butt. That really can mess up your back.

I already have a bad back, so no chance of that happening. I just got frustrated, when I had to do it over again. I just got over anxious and just hit something, and poof it was gone. I did get it posted though.

@sallypup I fell a few years ago, and landed on my tailbone which hurt terribly. Once the tailbone healed, it then went into my back and has been there since. As long as I am in my easy chair than I am okay.

Yeah, that gets on my nerves too. Usually my fingers are going faster than my brain and suddenly both the PC and brain get scrambled .... that's when it's time to take a break, for me it means a snort of that corn brew .... dang, I'm out and liquor stores are closed on Sundays.

I know what you mean, as I type faster than my brain can thnk too. I know I hit a key on the keyboard that I shouldn't have, and poof, it was gone. I did repost it though, and ot sure if it was the same as before it got deleted, but it got done none the less.

Yea, mine has been acting up lately. I uninstall programs and reinstall them and it acts up. I am hoping that by doing that, it might have straightened itself out, as the browsers keep going on and on, and not responding to anything I do. Grrr., so annoying.

That would be a good one, though, wouldn't it. I doubt that it would look like much though, as I probably wouldn't make words that are in the dictionary, but new ones, never used before.
