Random Word Post – piggyback

I find a random word by flipping through a dictionary or using a random word generator and write a quick little post about it. # Maybe I’m just weird – okay, I am weird – but where most people probably think of childish games when seeing piggyback, I wondered what cut of meat you got from a pig’s back. Turns out, it’s a loin, which you’d think would come from somewhere else on the pig.

When I read the title of your post, I misread it and thought it was a post about piggybanks. I love pork and I have a collection of piggybanks You want them roasted on in ceramic?

I used to do that when I was writing at another site. I have a Dictionary.com app installed on my phone and I used to check the Word of the Day archive to find something to write about.

I used to do that as well. I'm trying to get around to doing that here.

I agree that loin doesn't sound like it comes from the back. But why do we say piggyback? Where does it come from?
