Uruguay for growing old in.

It would seem that Uruguay might be a good place to retire to. Lost cost goes hand in hand with high quality if we are to believe those trying to attract us there, and it's not overrun by expatriates. The Waldensians set sail for Uruguay way back whenever - they were the first reformation group in France and Italy to flee Papal displeasure and set up a community that still exists. It seems to me to be quite a civilised, welcoming and tolerant place, and is said to have a European feel to it. Must investigate further.
