Father-to-be goes a little too far when he calls the hospital about a bomb threat

Come on dad’s around the world we know how important it is to be there when your baby is born. But do you need to resort to such measure as calling the hospital about a bomb threat. Yes believe it or not this Utah father-to-be Michael Morlang called the hospital to try and delay his wife’s giving birth to their child. The ill responsible and selfish father wanted to be there when their baby was born, but was stuck in Idaho on business. Failed attempts to delay his wife giving birth to their baby lead to drastic measure and a stupid call on this man behalf. His last attempt was to tell the hospital there was a bomb there. What this guy didn’t know is that his wife had already delivered their baby. Now think about how this poor child will grow up without a father for about the first 10 years of his life. Can you imagine what will be said about him when he starts school? Hopefully everyone will forget about it as he grows older, but will his wife ever forgive him for this stupid, selfish act he did. The nightmares they face today have only started. Calling in a bomb to a hospital is a serious Federal offence. Would you be that stupid and selfish to do something like this? RICHFIELD, UT - He is a father who probably will not be winning the World's #1 Dad award. In fact, he might deserve an honorable mention as the most selfish man on the planet. Michael Morlang has b...

A bomb scare would not delay the birth but simply make the circumstances far less convenient.

@poehere If your wife is undergoing any form of treatment like that then the last thing that you should consider is causing distress for the doctors.

In his case they might of. His wife was to have a C-section and not a normal birth. So they scheduled this date way in advance and he knew of this before he ever left. That is what makes it even worse what he did. He called the hospital and wanted them to reschedule her C-section for another time. They said they couldn't because they needed the room for another procedure after this. He couldn't take the answer no so he did what he did which was a big mistake.

Yes believe it or not this dad went that far to call the hospital several times trying to get them to delay his wife from giving birth. When all else failed he called in a bomb. People knew it was him and not too hard to figure out. So instead of seeing his baby when he arrived at the hospital he saw a set of handcuffs waiting for him. Now how stupid can you be.

@sana18 Yes but did you see what this hospital had to do because of this. All he basically had to do was ask if the baby was there or not. He did this after his child was born. Now that is totally stupid.

@poehere But still it is awful to say about a Bomb warning with everything that is going on also he obviously knew it was scheduled so he should have made arrangements to be with his Wife all Day

@gabs8513 I couldn't agree with you more. He made the mistake and then he wants everyone to work around his schedule. This isn't how hospital work and he should know this one. They can have a time for her and then push her to another time and take another person. These people have certain time in operating room and that is how it is.

Yes you are so right. But did you realize she was scheduled to deliver. They took the baby by C-section and he wanted them to reschedule this so he could be there.

@poehere Well, maybe he is still a young father. When I was young I did some stupid things, too. When I was 21 I drove my car very fast along the highway .. and I was drunk! . . Every time that stupid thing I did comes to my mind, I would always sigh . . "Thank God, no one got hurt from my stupidity!"

@antonbunot I think I read in another article he was 29. I guess I was young when I had my daughter and this stopped me from doing a lot of stupid things I more than likely would of done if I didn't have her. Plus I was a single mom from the time she was 13 month on. Her dad only showed back up in her life 2 years ago just before she turned 37.

My thought exactally. I can't believe he was that stupid to do this one one. but I guess some people don't think before they react. They panic and in such a state they tend to do really stupid things.

@poehere What he did is not an act of a normal person, extending the labor of his wife and threatening the hospital without thinking that his wife's life is at stake should they ran all.
@poehere (15126)

@cacay1 She was scheduled to have a C-Section and not a normal deliver. He didn't want them to take the baby or do the C-Section until he arrived. But it was too late and they had already done the C-Section and his baby was already here.

You are so correct. I hope his wife leaves him for this stupid act of selfishness. He knew when she was having this baby and why not just take the day off instead of going to work. He basically could of taken 2 days off before this so he would of been there.
