Any recommendation for a good mobile phone (brand/model)?

My mother's phone is recently broken and I need to purchase one for her. We had this phone for almost 4 years and my son dropped it; hence, the screen was broken and can no longer be used.
However, I am not familiar with the latest phones or good phones. I am looking to purchase an Android phone with any version and a high quality camera. I am not particular with the memory or speed, but I prefer 5mp camera or higher.
I am looking for Samsung brand and Cherry mobile but I want to hear some recommendations from you guys. If you can provide brand and models, and include your experience with this, I would really appreciate this.

It sounds like your mother is going to buy a smartphone. I am currently use Nexus 5 and I love it. Its size is suitablef or me and it works well. The only disadvantage is the battery. It can run out soon, but this is already the common shortcoming for all the smartphones. Now there is Nexus 6 and perhaps you can think about it. I don't consider Samsung because its price is not that nice.
