Have you started Christmas shopping yet?

Last night a friend and I were discussing Christmas plans and I was surprised to learn that she had not begun her Christmas shopping. I have completed mine. I only buy a couple of the gifts, the rest I make, but even so, the handmade ones are finished. All I have to do is wrap them. She thinks I am odd because I have everything all ready to wrap at this early date. Maybe I am but at least I won't be sitting up Christmas Eve trying to get everything finished, organized, and wrapped. Do you get ready or Christmas early or are you a last minute kind of person?

Christmas shopping is a strange concept to me, I have never done it as I do not see the point at all!

@destry I have grown up with Christmas. I love the season but wish it was a bit less commercialized.

Just like everything else is life everyone has their own ideas of when is the best time to shop or do whatever. Men like to wait until the last minute. I don't buy a lot - two relatives is done a long time ago - it's just the dog and my husband (notice who I said first) that I buy for.

I don't do Christmas shopping any more. My kids do it. My job is to just prepare the holiday meal. As for me? My wish list always includes peace and goodwill. The other stuff, I can take or leave it. I appreciate any gifts received. But if there's nothing under the Xmas tree for me, I'm OK with that too.

@cmomeyspinner My pleasure was always in watching others receive and open gifts. Like you, if I have no gift it does not concern me.

I buy the Christmas gifts all along the year. When I see something that could be fine as a gift, I buy it. The only thing I have not yet done is to wrap the gifts.

@HazySue It would be interesting to see some of the things you make, but not if it will spoil a surprise for someone.

@HazySue This is also what I think, years ago I had no time to do this and I was stressed all the month of December.

@LadyDuck I do the same thing. This is my way of assuring that I can enjoy the season rather than being franticly trying to buy or make the perfect gift for that someone special.

I don't shop for gifts anymore as I give money or gift cards, but mostly money. It makes it better that way, as I don't have to worry about going out and fighting the crowds. They can buy what they want that they with the money.

I am the worst Christmas shopper. It is customary to see me dashing about on Christmas Eve, when all the shops have sold most of their stock. Each year I tell myself that I will start earlier, but I haven't started yet this year.

I only shop for a few people. I have started shopping a little later than usual but that's because the year has just flown by. I've already bought my niece her present, so that is one person down. Around five more to go.

I have not. I'm not sure if I'm really going to be doing much shopping for it this year. I want to make things this year instead.

I try not to think about Christmas until after November 28, my son's birthday. That is because we have five family members with birthdays at this time of year. I just got my daughter's wish list for her family and will buy most of it on Amazon. I pay for it with swag bucks so in many ways it is free. Hubby and I will pick out an "experience" or trip as our own Christmas to each other. I have some small things selected for others.
