Lunch at the Winery

The day couldn't have been better for our trip to see our son yesterday, it was a brilliant summers day. Whenever we go there we always have lunch together. Yesterday we chose one of the local wineries that has a great restaurant, as well as an amazing platter. As the sun was shining we were able to sit outside and enjoy the relaxing surroundings. It was difficult taking a photo on my phone, because the sun meant I couldn't see a thing on the screen. The one here is the best of many. You can't quite see the vines on the hills to the left, nor the beautiful gardens, but you can see the grounds where they hold a lot of big functions. We sat outside on the terrace up in the restaurant and enjoyed our platter lunch of a variety of cold meats and cheeses, along with a glass of wine of course. The environment was so relaxing we didn't want to leave and ended up staying over two hours. It's good to have days like that from time to time, to break the routine of every day life. I certainly came home feeling as if I'd been on holiday. Now it's back to work here today.
