I remarked in a recent discussion about the bland potato salad. Today we had coleslaw and it had green flecks in it and it was colorful and truly delicious the way good coleslaw should be. Some savvy cook had added some flavor to it and it was just the way good coleslaw should be. Crisp and tangy and full of flavor.We had sweet and sour meatballs in a fruity sauce and they really were superb. I usually by pass them as I' m not fond of meat balls.But these were truly tasty.Mixed veggies with mostly lima beans was a great addition too. The dessert again a small piece of white cake with a raspberry sauce..They are doing something too which the other cooks did not do. They make the plates of food look appetizing and to me thats a plus.

yes @marlina it sure does make such a difference as for a long itme I seemed to exist on ham amnd cheese or peanut butter and sugar free jell y as i would put down veggies too but nine tenths of the time the old cooks just gave me the sandwich.Nowq I get m y fruits and veggies l ike im s up posed asd a diabetic.
