Only one weekend until Christmas

No, don't think I'm stupid. I know that Christmas is still a few weeks away but today it suddenly hit me that I need to get my skates on because I have only one free weekend between now and the big day.
Next weekend I need to knuckle down and make some progress. The weekend after I'm off the Essaouira in Morocco for a long weekend. We only have hand-luggage tickets so there won't be too many gifts coming back with us. And then the weekend after we're in the Netherlands staying with friends.
I have a few gifts sorted. Both my parents' main gifts are done and my sister's partner's and one of my friends. My sister needs both a birthday and a Christmas present which is always a challenge and my three old lady friends will need something too. There's a long way to go.
The biggest worry is that I don't have anything at all for my husband and he can't think of anything he wants. Neither can I.

Essaouira in Morocco sounds great!
Men are notoriously difficult to buy presents for. Maybe you could get something both of you can enjoy together. Like another weekend away somewhere.
OR! Get something he and his mates will be enjoy doing. Let them get on with it, whilst you're off doing something else. He'll be the envy of his friends for life. xD

@boiboing Yep I have that problem with my Dad. It's like not another pair of socks!

@Drosophila Does he have a shed? We've bought a solar shed light as one of my step-father's presents. I got one for my husband back in the summer and he loves it.

Actually this year my step-father's presents were really easy and we had him sorted first of all. But we are so lucky that we can pretty much afford to buy what we want when we want it and so we don't tend to have much in mind when it comes time to think about Christmas.

Wow - you'll be having a traveling December! This week will certainly be a time to focus on all the shopping - for us too (not that we're traveling, but I won't want to deal with the last minute crowds!). It's easiest for me if I take a list with me - that's what I will work on this weekend. Oh, I have no idea what to get Hubby either - but we're happy if we can just go out for a nice family dinner after the holiday rush - maybe in January.

You are lucky to do so much traveling! You'll get it all done I'm quite sure.

Like @valmnz I was going to suggest dinner out at a nice restaurant.

@boiboing yes, for you and hubby. Well, maybe a movie or date night, or a couple's massage?

Sounds like you have a lot to do with only one weekend. I think I would be nuts if I thought I only had one weekend before Christmas to prepare.

LOL this is so weird. I totted up last night and the next free weekend I have is the weekend before Christmas. With the best will in the world I can not spare that weekend for anything apart from getting final bits and pieces for the big day! We are ridiculously busy this time of year! The sad thing is though is we never learn!

We're beginning to find it hard to buy for each other. There is really nothing we need and little that we even want. I might settle for really nice chocolates.
