busy little bumble bee, with no money

November 29, 2015 11:19am CST
Yesterday saw Husband and I spend oodles of money. Bah, humbug! It also saw us leave the house at a ridiculous time in the morning {gone nine, but that is ridiculous for a Saturday} in the cold blustery wind of the Fens. Brrrr ... We went to the tip and finally dumped all those magazines, and the old toilet seat, and a few of the mountain of cardboard boxes which live in the garage with the spiders and their webs. We went to the charity shop and gave them all those DVDs which have been piled haphazardly in 'the office' for the last ten months, patiently waiting for something to happen to them. We went to the antique shop in the Quaint Little Historic Market Town, where we bought a 1958 Royal Doulton figurine for my MiL. She has been un-bubble-wrapped, dusted till she shone, and re-bubble-wrapped, ready for wrapping in Christmas paper. We ate cake! We went to the pub for lunch, but there was no room in the inn and we were turned away. We went to another pub where the food was probably ten trillion times more tasty and were made most welcome. I had a fish finger sandwich. Heavenly. We went to the cinema and saw Black Mass. It was a bit gory and Johnny Depp swears a lot, but it was a fascinating insight into a bunch of gang-related incidents in Boston. We went to Tesco and did a food shop, plus bought a few presents and picked up some ideas for other folk. Which reminds me, if you have any scrummy Indian based recipes you'd like to share with me, that would be truly lovely. We came home and watched Doctor Who. Then I went to bed, exhausted after my adventure of Saturday shenanigans. Today was made for relaxation.

You had a tiring day! That is the last thing I would want to go through these days.

It wasn't too bad because I knew I could just chill all day Sunday. I didn't even get dressed. Heaven.

It sounds as if you had a busy and productive Saturday. We traveled and are recovering today. We missed church.

It is. A lot of people don't like Peter Capaldi's Doctor, but I do. I also liked Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor. I'm a bit odd. Allegedly. :)
