Cyber Monday Shopping

Today is a big day for online shopping and I've already done my share to contribute to holiday spending. Many of the stores have had big discounts since Thursday including their Black Friday offers that have extended through today. I was able to get about 90% of my shopping done with some very nice discounts and it all should be delivered to my door within the next few days. I went from zero to almost done and never once did I have to get dressed, look for a parking space, lug shopping bags or stand in line. Once my packages arrive I can get busy with the wrapping. I made myself a promise that this year I wouldn't leave everything to the last minute and so far I've kept that promise. Are you taking advantage of the huge online sales?

I don;t really shop anymore, as I either give gift cards, or money, as it is much better that way, and my son and family can get what they want with the money or cards. Don't get me wrong, I love to shop, but it just makes it easier to give money. That is usually what they ask for anyway.

@Susan2015 That is what is so neat about git cards and money, as they can get what they want, as they can be hard to buy for. I know my son is, as he never knows what he wants, so by giving him money, I don't have to worry, as money is always needed.

@Susan2015 My daughter-in-law has boiught me night shirts,, the last several Chrtistmases, but I do wear them, and very appreciative of them, as I do use them every night. I don't buy anyone clothes unless they ask for them, as I know when I do, they will be used.

As I mentioned, not shopping anymore. But starting next season, I may use these sales to fulfill my own needs.

@Marilynda1225 I don't need a thing right now, but in a year, I might.

That's great that you got it all done! I have not done any shopping this year because my husband has been out of work. =( He finally started working yesterday so I am hoping we will be able to get some things for our kids.

Shopping does seem to be quite a big thing in America. I'm afraid I'm a minimal shopper

@valmnz You could say I'm a minimal shopper too (or mostly ) Christmas is a big deal in our family and we try to keep gift giving to something affordable (a token). I enjoy getting and giving heartfelt gifts

My husband is taking advantage of professional programs, most of the items sold in the United States cannot be sent to Europe.

I don't look for sales, I look for things I want or need. I just ordered my husband a new submersible pump since he killed the old one by having it run all night. Amazon had a good price and free shipping so that's what's important to me. I might go to See's candies and get myself something now.

The only thing I ordered today was from the Gilroy garlic festival, they offered free shipping which is rare so I ordered some spices.
