Hi From a MyLot Newbie

Hello all, after being told to check MyLot out plenty of times since I jumped ship just before the bubbly site died I've decided to join up and have a mooch around. I've already spotted a few people I recognise, although I think I'll have to have a good look around the site before I start doing everything as it all looks so 'different' to other sites I've used. And so green!
I'm assuming we can write about anything, but again that's something I'm going to have to find out about as I don't want to commit a huge faux par right on my first day! If anything goes most of mine will probably be Christmas related this month, and obviously the obligatory posts about the kids - sorry about that in advance.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated (I'm now off to find a FAQ page!).

Welcome to myLot! I've been here about a month, after jumping ship from the BB site. The layout of this site is much different from the other site, but once I've gotten used to it I am really liking it! Everyone here is great, and you'll find a lot of the former BB members here now.

It's very different, kinda nice and streamlined though. Thanks for the welcome, this does seem a nice friendly site so I'm hoping it works for me - my usual writing site (reviews) is dying and I've been looking for something 'new' :o)

They're all fine thanks @garymarsh6 - growing up too quickly! Charlotte is moving to Plymouth next year which is totally crazy (not least because she can't cook beans on toast or use the washing machine) - looking forward to sharing on here as I feel so out of the online loop at the moment!

The site is so different from the last one, the conversations called discussions are interesting and fun , plus that's how you earn money here - by interacting. Welcome, I'm enjoying it here I imagine you will too.

It took me a while to work out that a discussion was an article/post (obvious now I know!) - what I'm most surprised about is that people have told me they're actually paid by MyLot (had my fingers burned by bubblews and another US review site last year and wasn't really in the mood for trusting another one). Glad I have though as this seems a really nice place to be :o)

@chrisandmark I joined in October and wasn't here a few days because of a big craft show and I didn't think i would make it to $10 but I did that month. I did get paid the whole amount which was more than 10 on the day they paid me and I was so happy after Bubbs...I didn't make it this month but I'm not worried, there will be more money next month! Love it

Yes, that's what I love about these kind of sites as everyone always seems so much friendlier than (some of the) other sites I use
