Random Word Post – plug-ugly

I find a random word by flipping through a dictionary or using a random word generator and write a quick – often silly – little post about it.

I just opened my dictionary and one of the words at the top was plug-ugly, which means a ruffian. I don’t know why anyone would use it. I mean, if you call someone a ruffian, they probably know that and won’t be offended. But calling them a plug-ugly sounds like an insult. And do you really want to offend someone like that?
