Catching a Shark, what a thrill

My 18 year old grandson was fishing this past summer in Martha's Vineyard at his other grandparents house. He has been going there with them since he was 2 years old and through the years has won many fishing competitions for his age group.
This past summer he was so shocked, as were all the people around him, when he pulled in a 4 foot shark. He took pictures of it and then decided not to have it mounted but threw it back in the water.
This past year was a very active season for shark activity down the entire coast of eastern USA. There were times when people were alerted not to go in the ocean because of so many sharks that were seen close to the shore.

It should do fish are very good at recovering from hook wounds but I do agree with you I can't see the appeal of fishing for sport x

@shellyjaneo I heard that also, that a fish can get caught many times but the wound closes up if they are thrown back in the water right away. I always felt bad for the fish and could never fish even though my family would do it all around me.

You don't ever want to mess around with a shark.
