Here in the north east of England we are under a weather warning for high winds and rain, it's currently blowing a hooley (I wonder if that's a Geordie phrase or I've picked it up somewhere else) anyway it's windy. For the first day in over a week though we've had no rain today, we've even had sunshine Anyway I'm rambling, today I went to the local town of blyth with my dad. It was cold and windy, but nice. We both had a small cooked breakfast (sausage, egg, tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, hash brown and toast) in a local cafe. It was a nice day

I haven't heard the word 'hooley'. That sounds a great breakfast for a cold, windy day.

It was, I'm not sure if I've got the word from Yorkshire where my dad is originally from or somewhere else

I'm glad the weather has been reasonable despite the warnings. Sounds like a nice breakfast. Is that your Dad in the picture?

It's mostly just been windy here, although we've had rain too. Yes he's changing the time on his watch as for some reason it had the wrong time.

I love the sound of your breakfast and I only wish my Dad was still with us. Its calm here and cold.
