Frost and Fog

What an eerie sight to behold when I looked out of my window this morning.
The ground was covered with frost and the fog was so thick it met the ground and almost made it look like the world had disappeared. I would have thought we were in the middle of a blizzard with whiteout conditions but I knew we weren't supposed to get snow.
I wish I could get a picture of this weird weather but it would be like standing in the middle of a cloud and trying to capture it on camera.

@Marilynda1225 We always had fog in my native city and in this part of Switzerland, it was even worse when I was young, because there were less houses and more open fields.

Fog for us is a common occurrence/ Frost the last few days, but no fog this morning.The frost is melting quickly.

@abbygreenhill our frost melted fairly quickly once the temperature went up. Now it's sunny and about 50 degrees

I live on top of a tall hill. I can sometimes see fog down below, and it looks like you could walk on it. At other times, we are in the soup too. I know exactly how you feel. It does not photograph well without special equipment. It sure is cool though.

@elizabethwallace it must be awesome to live on top of hill and be able to see the fog below. Yes, taking a picture would only have resulted in what would have been a pure white nothingness

Yeah we had the frost this morning too got cold last night. Sun is shining now and supposed to be in the 50's today

@blondie2222 same here. Started out as a cold, frosty morning and now the sun is out and it's in the 50's. Mother Nature is certainly confused

So, no snow in your area, too? Here in Calgary the forecast is warm and sunny till the 20th of this month . . except some showers this coming Wednesday.
