A Very Thick Fog

The fog was very thick this morning. I had to go out of town and I don’t like the thick fog. There were pockets of it all the way there. It was almost the same way coming home. Now I don’t know about you, but when it’s not a light fog, it can make me feel kind of claustrophobic. I hope it was worth the trip over there. It's a very nice city only about 16 miles away. The fog is finally starting to go away very slowly.

As it does not rain from more than one month, we have a thick fog every morning now.

@LadyDuck I think your country has cold weather for many months. So, don't you like summer season?

@Marcyaz If it snows, or we finally get some rain, the fog will dissolve. This morning it was dry, so no fog.

@Jessicalynnt It really is. Some didn't have their lights on this morning. I'm glad they were on the other side of the highway.

You are then very lucky as it is nerve wracking to be in the dense fog.

We have dense fog too. It's starting to lift ,but it's expected to be the entire day along with the drizzle. I'm glad you got there and home safe.

Some people don't seem to mind driving in it and still go like maniacs and pass even when they can't see anything ahead, I do not like to be out in it for that reason.

@Susan2015 Some people just don't realize how dangerous that is to drive with no lights on in foggy conditions.

Driving in heavy fog is challenging. We used to call it pea soup.

It seldom fogs in our place only on colder parts of the country and mountainous regions,If it does , children associate it with vampire movies and cold. What we feared more was the haze coming from another Asian country as a result of forest fires reaching us, it already reached some parts, good thing the wind changed direction.

Fog associated with cold and vampire movies yeah I guess that makes sense. You have forest fires from another Country then it is a good thing that the wind has changed direction.

The fog has been around the Chicago area for days now. No sun to burn it off. I know fog can be scary sometimes but I do have to admit that of all the weather fog has always been my fav.

We had fog all day long today, we need some wind to blow it all away! Driving into work this morning was awful, by the time I got there I was leaning so far ahead to see better that my eyes were almost stuck on the windshield!

It's been a very long time since I have seen fog. I do recall it makes it very hard to drive and you have no idea how far ahead a person is on the road because you can see them.

I am not sure about fog because honestly, we don't have as much of it out here. Hyderabad is never that cold. On December 8th I am still not wearing sweater and am not covering myself with blanket. The fan remains on in the night. Just to tell you about heat. But I guess it is scary to have somebody's face peep out at you suddenly from some cloudy surroundings.

We have two kinds of fog here. Sometimes it rolls in from the ocean. But the other kind forms to the East, over the Delta.

When you have a thick fog like that is is terrible to drive in and you generally have to go much slower than the speed limit says. Glad you mad it home okay.
