Are the owners of Bubblews at it again?

Well folks the Internet rumor mill is buzzing right now with some incredible news. Looks like the owner’s of the now closed site Bubblews has done it again. Not long before the site closed it’s rumored that the owner of Bubblews opened a new site. What’s incredible is that the same ad revenue model is being used on the new site. Didn’t Bubblews say this model was no longer viable? Then why use it again? According to the FAQ this site has nothing to do with Bubblews. However, the timing of the opening of the new site and the closure of the other site leaves a lot of doubt in people’s minds. There are too many people that don’t believe in coincidences, Do you? Now here is the million dollar question. How many of you will join this new site and take your chances. All looks wonderful in the beginning but after so many people lost money will you try again? It appears if you live in Candia or the USA you have a higher rate for posting and commenting. Seems the pay scale for receiving comments, liking, and receiving likes is the same. What does this mean? Did the site learn from its previous mistakes and wants to try again? Seems like the site doesn’t want to pay bloggers outside of the US and Canada the same money. Why? Maybe they knew some countries were cheating them out of money. So is this one way to stop that? The new payout on the site is just $5. But so far nobody can confirm that a single new member has been paid as of yet. There is a lot to learn about this site but so far all indications point to Bubblews owners. I did take a peek at the new site. Here is a few things I did notice. There are around 250 users on the site currently. Most of them don’t have a profile filled in. A few have an avatar. Some people have been posting on a regular basis. However, most posts don’t receive hardly any attention. You might find a few likes and a few comments. But all in all for the amount of time and the possibility of not being paid doesn’t seem worth it to me. What do you think? Will you go to the new site and post for them again? Are you still angry with these people for cheating you out of your money and not paying you? Would you really trust them again? What if I told you the name would you run over and register to check it out? Not so sure I would, but then on the other hand I never joined Bubblews. Image - personal image source

Do you have any idea how many bubblers and ex-bubblers ran off to make their own website based on Bubblews? A lot of them, one of the people who tried to emulate Bubbs is a current member here on this site. Don't ask who, it is not my place to say. I'm pretty sure you're talking about the same site I visited a few days ago. I'm satisfied that it is not them. Of course you may have uncovered yet another imitation. (creepy voice) They're everwhere.

I was wondering if the CGP Gallery scam was run by a disgruntled ex-Bubbler. Do you have any idea about that one?

You might be right but it sure looks the same. I guess if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and walks like a duck then maybe it really is a duck.

Whether the site is operated by the same people would be of no real concern to me. I have no reason to leave Mylot at the moment, but otherwise I would have no qualms about trying the new site. You refer to money that members lost, yet the majority were paid a vast amount more by Bubblews than other sites for a long while. At the peak many were earning more in a day than they could here in 1 month, then after receiving thousands of dollars over the period there they shout about "losing money".

@poehere If it is indeed the same individuals. It could very well be a copycat who believes that the model is fine and the administration's handling of the site was solely to blame.

Basically I just based my statements on what I read here on the site. I read about how many lost money. Joining a site or not joining a site is up to the person. I was just stating some interesting facts for a discussion that I have been checking into for a few days. I think a person needs to make up their own mind and do what is best for them.

@yukimori That is a very good point. So why use this same business model again and open up another site? If they can open a new site then they should of made their old one work for them. Seems like they took the money and ran and decided to try it again.

@Hatley That it does and it smacks of the name of their app too. Guess they bombed on a lot of what they did and still at it. You would think they would choose a name nobody would associate with all this past mess if they wanted to start again so soon.

Yes I agree with you on this one. It opened shortly before the other site closed. It sort of looks all the people who were cheated out of their money went to the opening of this new site. Shame and what a pity this one is. But if you get burned once why go back and get burned again?

@AbbyGreenhill I agree with you on this one. I wouldn't want to join a new site that just opened if this was the case. But then some might want to go back because they missed it so badly. Not sure why but it might be possible that some of the old members will go to the guys new site.

@TheHorse It's almost too bad that there aren't universal profiles that would reveal that sort of thing. I know, I know... right to privacy rules, and that sort of tracking isn't fair to users who aren't engaging in shady practices. But it would be convenient to know at a glance if a web property were owned by someone who had a history of that sort of thing. It really seems to me like a lot of these scamsters hide behind their anonymity. It's online, so they can't be held accountable. Then there's bozos like the B-crew...

@yukimori It is so much like them this new site. Not a lot on it so far and not a lot to check on. So far nobody has claimed to be paid from this site at all. It seems like they have around 250 people on it so far. You can find who is on it and it displays 50 for each page. I did register on it to see what it iwas about but I am sure I will never use it at all. I just wanted to check it out and see what it was about.

I am going by some research and info I dug up for something else I was looking into. All of them say the same unclassified and not yet totally documented. So many of the experts say it looks like this and it seems to be the same but only time will tell if it is really different or not. But it sort of looks like it is back in business under a new name. It is close to the name of the app they were working on and that is another reason everyone says it is the same people.

Now that one is funny. I am not sure about all rules on here so I would rather not post the name of this one. I am sure you can find it rather easily in searching. Just look up new paying discussion sites that opened at the end of 2015 and you should find this one.

I have no such interest for sites like Bubblews whether it is in the guise of a new site. I do not have time to visit such site and post something. For me mylot is best. Whenever, I've time, I love to visit mylot. Nothing could beat mylot in my view. Those who have plenty of hours at their disposal might be interested in such sites, as you have mentioned.

Good for you. It seems a few people are still eager to go back. I just registered to get an idea of how the site was set up and run. I wanted to see the pay and see what had to be done. I know for a fact I won't go there to work on this site. Seem very slow and not a lot of activity on this site now.

@rebelann This is what I am talking about. I had to register in order to see all of this. Love their stupid registration. Sending you a code and a link. Then after you get some shabby email telling you welcome and saying now it's time to write for them. I don't want to write for them I just wanted to see what it was all about. On some sites you can check it all out and never register. On this one you are forced to register in order to see how it is.

Yes agree but it still seems like a scam and the owners are trying hard to make everyone think it is not their new site. There is way too much pointing in the directions that it is their site. Even the name and their new app all tie in together making it hard to believe otherwise.

@sishy7 I am not sure how mature it is or not. I don't see a lot of effort or activity on there so far. Not many people are getting noticed and not so many care to like or comment on the site. The few I did look at seems that the blogger won't even acknowledge their comment and answer back. From their model it seems they would earn on this one.

Sounds like a very wise decision. Now they pay something like 0.005 for a post if you live in Canada or the USA. The others only get 0.003 for a post. Man this is a lot of writing to do in order to earn a penny. Seems like a lot of time and effort. At least on here you can see your time and efforts do pay.

@Inlemay I saw a few other sites that went up last year. According to all there is out there the sites still haven't paid anyone. A lot of people are angry. I do feel a few places tried to do the same as BB but have failed or are just out there to take the money and run. I know you can hold people off for a time but after they get angry and leave.

@Auntylou This is the biggest problem on sites like this. You need to invest at least 1 or 2 hours during the day on here. I know people invest a lot more and make a lot more. I don't have time to invest 4 to 6 hours on here so I limit my time to when I am working on other stuff and can just pass by here to spend a little time.

@ivyparkgirl i doubt they shut because they were broke or bankrupt. i suspect they shut because income didnt cover what they owed members so they shut up shop owing people money. it doesnt cost that much to put a site up, if you can do the work yourself it wouldnt even be $100 in total.
