Make Me Smile!

They say one of the best things in life is seeing a smile on a person's face, and knowing that you put it there!
One of the worst things in life is having to get up and go to work on a Monday!
Given that today was Monday, did you do anything today to put a smile on someone's face? Or did anyone do something that put a smile on your face?

um I accepted a glass of punch and that pleased my tablemate. she is a very sweet person who so wants to be accepted as a friend. i m so ha ppy with my table mates that yes they make me smile, somehow someone is always giv ing me something, why I reallyh dont know b ut Im a lot older than the rest at 89 they make me sile andf I make them smile.

headed out for lunch with my colleagues and came back half an hour late. i left my phone on my desk so i was not able to inform my boss that i will be late. i know he's going to be fine with that but i still feel i needed to make it up to him. the soonest i opened the door to our office, in an upbeat and happy tone and with all smiles i told him, "Sir! since i am late, i brought you some bribe..." I got him donuts, which i knew he would really love. and then, tada, i saw his eyes brightened and he had that wide smile. he made me happy in return when he said in his sweet fatherly voice, "why, that's so kind of you...thank you so much!" :)

@hiru84 I think donuts will always brighten someones day! I did the same thing last Friday, I knew a couple of my co-workers were having a bad day, so I brought them in a big box of donuts, and that cheered them right up!

We had a lovely email from our young friend in Vienna. Her little girl can now say 'Judy' which she couldn't when we were visiting. I have been wearing a big smile ever since the email arrived.

That even brought a smile to my face! There's nothing more precious than a small child to remind us what is most important in the world! Glad she was able to say your name, you must have been thrilled!

@moffittjc She was able to say 'Vince' - well, it was more like 'Wince' actually - from the first day but for some reason she just couldn't manage Judy.

@moffittjc Making someone smile or laugh is one of the things that makes me feel good. Especially if they aren't feeling their best to begin with.
I haven't really smiled much today myself. Just one of those days actually. I did make my dad and dog smile though.

I think a good smile is contagious! When I see people with nice smiles, I instinctively want to smile back at them, even if I'm not having a good day!

It takes me a long time to put a smile on my face regardless of the day! I always make people smile though ... I'm a quietly witty person. Sometimes.
