Before it is possible to answer this, I have to ask "Why do you want (or think you want) to use HTTPS in the first place?" HTTPS has no relevance whatsoever to a blog site!

The https websites are encrypted, so that they will be safer. Usually these websites are online shopping stores, especially on the payment page.

There is little or no benefit of https. Because anybody can buy an SSL certificte and redirect links to https. But some users might find your blog more secure to purchase something from your affiliate link. That's the benefit.

HTTPS is used for a secure connection. Use it for your bank account or Paypal account. It is extra protection, look for the padlock when you get where you are going. You don't others accessing this information.
