That would be a lot easier with a lightsaber

We have an outdoor stove that heats up water which goes through a heat transfer to heat our house. In the really cold months of winter we’ll burn some coal in it, but 99.9% of what we burn is wood. And since we live on a farm with plenty of trees, that works out pretty well. As we’ve been trying to stock up on wood before it gets too cold, I’ve often thought that cutting firewood would be so much easier with a lightsaber. For example, to cut down a fair sized tree can take a few minutes with a noisy chainsaw. But it would only take one swing of a lightsaber to do it. And then cutting blocks and splitting them would take a fraction of the time. You could probably cut down a tree, chop it all up, and have it all split in ten minutes or less. Or I guess you could just take the powercell of a lightsaber and stick that into our heating system and just skip the whole burning wood step. But what would be the fun in that?

Yes just use the powercell. Much more efficient. I think I have seen some of those furnaces north of here. (where they have trees)
