So, I haven't had time to be here at MyLot. I have had a crazy couple of days. I had to take my son to the doctor. He is find but, we were there for what seemed like forever and we had an appointment. I wonder why doctor book 4 or five people for the same time! He has the flue after getting a flue shot. I also had to take Lee. Lee is my dog and she is 12 years old. The poor thing she has a bad cold, arthritis, and a coupe of cysts on her belly. She is find but she does have to take medication. She doesn't like it so I have to put it in a hotdog for her to take it. The Vet told, me that was the best way.

Do you mean that your son is now sick after having the flu shot? This is what is happening to all those I know.

@whiteream I understand that they suggest the flu shot to prevent the flu, but if this is the cause of the flu it seems a nonsense.

Yes, and he is very sick. The poor thing can't eat anything and all he want to do is sleep. Witch is good. He did eat a little toast this afternoon. He has been drinking.

You have had your hands full for sure with a sick child and dog. I hope they are both feeling better soon.

@whiteream that's good. Rest is one of the most important things to do when you are sick.

You really were having a busy schedule, and had enough reason to stay off.

They have been sleeping most of the day. I had to catch up on housework.

I usually crush my dogs pills and mix them with soft dog food.

Sorry your son and dog aren't feeling well. We are lucky with Ruby - if I have to give her meds I just open her mouth and put the pill down her throat, she doesn't mind at all. I mind, because then my hand is full of dog goobers.

You are lucky in that way. This isn't something she is use to. So, she is taking them in the hot dog and that is all I care about. It's getting into her. They melt in her mouth and I don't think she liked that.

Well that sucks your son has the flu. They said the flu shot may not be effective this year. I hope he gets better soon and the same with your dog. My mom's dog doesn't like taking medication either
