So many things happened today (the 9th of December, 2015)--- Part I.

I nearly forgot; today was my scheduled consultation with my cardiologist. I must have my blood extracted with 5cc for Prothrombin time and Prothrombin Activity. I watched the phlebotomist insert the needle of a 5cc syringe, but my vein suddenly did not show up. The medical technologist started to tremble especially when I told him to relax because I am a nurse and I can endure the prick. The second time at my right arm was successful. I was informed to wait for 1 and ½ hours for the result. I had to play the games on my phone to kill the time. The result was within my normal range. That was nice; at least I have already conditioned myself not eating dark green leafy vegetables. If something unusual happens in just one day, do you mark it on your calendar? I will share more of my day in my next discussions.

I have been doing the Prothrombin test for over 20 years now. I am used to it. Sometimes the technicians are not very sure of themselves.

I agree, especially if our veins hide.

That must be awkward when they can't find a vein, and knowing you are a nurse would have made the technician even more nervous.

yes. I watched the lab technician insert the needle (my 2nd time to watch it,; twice the vein hid). I told Edison not to worry because I can endure the prick, after I told him I am a nurse.

Well, I never liked getting tests done but figured out really fast that there was nothing to it glad you could get it done.

I am already accustomed into getting my arm pricked for the test. I would just prefer having it done one prick only, but sometimes, my visible vein gets invisible.

@ridingbet yes, I had but there were times I burn some of the pages, or if not, the whole notebook. Haha! I just write at the moment then throw them away afterwards. Lol! Silly me!

Yes, at the end of the day I write on my agenda what I did, it's a way to remember, just for future reference.
