Baby girl stayed home from school

The last few days, my 4 year old has been a bit congested. I had been hoping that that would be the extent of whatever cold she has caught. But last night she started coughing. So today she will stay home and rest. Hopefully by pushing fluids and resting, she will get over this quickly. I better call and cancel her speech assessment for tomorrow. I don't want to continue passing this around.

The little ones always start getting sick when they go to school. School is a veritable cesspool of germs.

This is her first day missed due to being sick. She loves school, so she was very disappointed. Hopefully she won't have to miss too much.

@Morethanamom I sure hope your wee one gets well soon. My kids are grown but when they were sick I was just frantic with worry. I was a very over protective mom.

Poor baby.
My 4 year old was sick over Thanksgiving holiday.
She had the congestion and the cough also. That seems to be when they are the most miserable.
Hope she feels better very soon.

Thank you. This cold seems to be going around, and she is the first one to get it. Hopefully she is the only one!

Aw I hope she feels better soon, my little man has been off Nursery as well but he did go back today and is feeling much better x

Thank you. I hope so too. She loves school and was very disappointed when I told her she was staying home. I will likely keep her home tomorrow as well.

Children do pick up and pass on illnesses as their immune systems develop.
