1/. Death Row Diary Just a fortnight left to live Midnight New Year’s Eve 2/. Knitting cardigans For cold leafless frozen tree With too many sleeves 3/. Roundheads banned Christmas Some fool brought it back again Cost’s King’s ransom 4/. Haiku of the year Awards not nominated. How about this one? 5/. wool might shrink in cold water - best let the kraken buy off the peg - just saw how to turn that into a haiku - cold water shrinks wool better let the poor kraken sort out its wardrobe

I like all of them, and it's hard to pick a favorite out of the bunch. Number 2 is very poetic, Number 3 is very deep and I am afraid of Number 5.
