Are all your photographs organized? Now we have I-phones and IPads and numerous other ways to take pictures. And we have thumb drives and Facebook albums and various other ways to take and save photographs. How organized are you in keeping track of them or making copies of the really important ones you don't want to lose...just in case something happens with your media method of taking pictures? I'm really old school. I probably have less than two dozen pictures on my phone and maybe 30 on my IPad. But I have hundreds of photos taken the old fashioned way with a digital camera. Some even taken with a Polaroid camera. Can you believe it? Well, my cousin wanted some recent pictures of my family so I promised to send her some several months ago. I actually found some nice ones and made some copies and put them in a nice album for her but, sad to say, I have not sent them to her yet. I really need to get that done. This winter, I plan to go through all my photo albums and I have several, and I have BOXES of photos and I should be doing a better job at keeping them organized and in albums. I did make copies of many of them about two years ago and put them on discs. I have those in a fireproof safe. I also made copies and gave them to my brothers and children so that they would be in another place in case there was a fire or tornado or anything that would ruin my albums. Pictures are very important to me and I really do need to get them organized. How about you? Do you have all of your photos organized?

I love taking photographs and plan to share some here. I have over 10,000 photos on my external hard drive.I have them in folders marked with what camera I took them with. I have 3 cameras. A Canon Powershot, a Panasonic Lumix which is also an underwater camera, that's pretty cool. And I have an Olympus Pen.

Wow! Now that's a LOT of photos. I have no where near that many photos. My oldest son probably has that many and my daughter too. They both take lots of pictures. My oldest son has pictures of lighthouses up and down the East Coast of the U.S. and several on the West Coast. That's one of his favorite subjects.

@IreneVincent Lighthouses are awesome. However I live in the Chicago area so we don't have to many of those. I love taking shots of old broken down barns. That we have a lot of.

@fishtiger58 I've been to Chicago over fifty times. That's where our Home Office was and I flew there annually for a Convention for over 30 years and many other times for manager meetings and extra training. I've been in to O'Hare airport so many times I've lost count.

It can be a huge task trying to get photos organised. We have most on computer and backed up but there is more that needs to be done.

Yes, it will be one of my projects this winter, when I will probably hibernate in the house if we have the winter they say we are going to have. I have several projects to keep me busy.

@IreneVincent I forget that some people virtually get snowed in - or wintered in - in some countries. You would need a few projects to work on under those circumstances.

Oh goodness I have thousands of photos all in albums on my PC and also on hard drive and also in albums on my coffee table - but most are selected - I try and publish one a post while writing as well. Share the pictures through my lenses.

Thousands? You have lots to share for sure. I'd love to start seeing some of your photos on here and the story behind them. I've shared a few, but I don't have thousands. What a wonderful collection you have, I'm sure.
