Here comes the front, its raining sideways!

I had just looked out the window and no rain, now it is raining so hard the windows are rattling and I can't see more than a foot beyond the house. I had been following the forecast and I knew heavy rain was coming. According to the predictions the worst will be over in a few hours and then just 'normal' rain for a few more hours. I hate to think how much snow this would be if the temps weren't in the 60's. Glad we're on the warm side of this front! How's the weather in your neck of the woods today?

Now you know how we feel about rain in England because this is what we usually get. Vertical rain is tolerable, but we always seem to get the horizontal variety.

@AbbyGreenhill Living in our climate does have some advantages. n I travelled to Central Siberia I found the temperature tolerable, whereas someone from a warmer climate would have really found it very cold.

I couldn't live where you have so much rain - ours is nothing compared to yours.

Just hate that kind of stormy weather. Had the gusts of wind and tons of rain, then the sun was back and a beautiful rainbow graced our neighborhood.

The line of rain was fast, it was out of here way sooner than they said.

It's strange to see rain coming in horizontally isn't it? Hope your windows withstand the blast.

The morning has been cloudy and foggy, right now there is a pale sun, but no rain, wind or snow for the moment.

@AbbyGreenhill In the morning it's cold, only about 36, but it goes up to low 60 during the day. This big change in temperature is not good for our health.

@LadyDuck I know those changes that fast aren't good. I wish it would get cold so the bugs would die.

Here in Florida, it has been quite warm and muggy, and it is expected to remain that way all week. There is a 50% chance of rain every day this week, and then Friday a cold front finally moves through, giving us a nice cold weekend! I hope the cold sticks around through Christmas!

We've been warm for us for a week but we will be winter, hopefully the grass will stop growing!
