On the advice of one of our members, I joined Beer Money Nation this morning. When I logged in I received an important message from the administration that said they are sorry to report that they are closing the site. It sounded good, just as another site once sounded good.
My lesson from this experience is just to forget checking out new earning social media sites. It seems they just don't work, even when the admin intentions are good.
Some people may feel that they don't earn much on this site, but we have to change our perceptions. Social media sites are just not the place to earn money. The pennies that are racked up will never be more than pennies if the site is to stay viable.
So if you have heard about Beer Money Nation and were tempted to check it out, don't bother. Save your time and efforts.

I think that there have been way too many attempts to tap the social media market, I am quite satisfied to just enjoy this site. I do swagbucks as well and then my more serious writing and blogs.

@Sheilamarie78 I put many of my old Helium articles on Writedge. I write new things on Examiner and i have a few on Infobarrel. With the blogs that is think enough. lol

I have some articles on Hubpages and Wizzley that I wrote a while ago. Now I'm not spreading myself as thin as I want to concentrate on my more serious writing, too.

I only discovered it after it was announced as closing. They still let me sign up, though, without letting me know. Odd.

It was only online for a couple of months. I discovered today that it was run by a student and he ran out of money and time.

That was what it was like at the end, though the early days were much better. It's nice to see the numbers rise here, even if it is slow.

I had heard of the site a while ago (I think) but thank you for the heads up about it closing. I am happy with my earnings here at myLot.

I think the pay here is pretty darned good for a social interaction site, even if I moan a bit about the ebbs and flows. I wish Epinions hadn't driven itself into the ground. I enjoyed reviewing things there and having my reviews read by potential consumers all around the world. It paid well too.

I feel ya. I do like checking out new sites but not as 'money makers'. Like you said that is pretty much pointless if you need a real income. I'm really finding this one to be pretty darn awesome.

It doesn't surprise me and it didn't look very appealing to me anyway when I checked it out last month sometime. I think MyLot will last and I pray it does!

I have seen a lot of social media sites come and go and each of them doesn't earn that much. You do put a lot of work into the site so you can earn from it. But when they close down so fast it is a disappointment and not one you want to try again for some time.
