Our sunny break in Morocco came to an end and we landed back in the UK about 8 this evening and were home again by 9.30 to put the washing on, set everything to charge and to start thinking about going away again tomorrow. I have to work until about 3 so my husband will have to wrap the presents for our weekend hosts, but first we have two days in Amsterdam whilst I go to the office and he goes to the museums. I'm happy to say I have a husband who can be trusted when let loose for two days in Sin City. Then on Friday evening we're off to a small town near Utrecht to stay with our friends. The weekend is apparently a programme of three different choir events - which is probably two more than I can comfortably handle but I think we're getting Friday night off and they're leaving us at their home. The cats are happy to see us again - though I'm sure we smell of the hundreds of friendly felines who offered their affection for a scrap of fish - but they may not be so pleased when we disappear again tomorrow. I know I shouldn't plan to do quite so much in such a short time but I'm sure I always will.

I guess that your cats can smell the other felines on your clothes, I hope they are not jealous. Amsterdam is a beautiful city, I have never visited during the Christmas time.

It's not that great actually. The Dutch make a lot more fuss about Sinterklaas which is the 6th of December and not so much about Christmas.

@boiboing Same here, they have celebrated St. Nicholas the past 6th of December, but there are many Italians here in the South and we celebrate Christmas.

you're making me tired! I think after a short trip like that I'd need some time to recover before travelling again!

This is my every week life. It is exhausting - and so I'm definitely not doing ANY work between Christmas and NY this year.

Way to go! I am always much more organised if I have a lot of stuff on the go.
