Some things happ ened to me lately that sure seem counter to the ho ho ho peace on earth feeling ,many have. first ten dollars was stolen from me, then m y diabetic testing equiptment taken from m y roon and thirdly so meone took off partof m y lock assembly on m y top drawer. so so m uch for peace here in Westiminster villa. this is the season that brings out the best i n some people and the worst in others. I'm going shopping tomorrow for my son and that will give me some Christmas spirit. I will see my doctor Friday and get him to order them to allow me to hav e my diabetic testing stuff in my room.

That is such a shame. It can be really difficult settling into an aged facility.

@Hatley I didn't realise you'd been there that long. They don't sound like nice people at all.

Oh no. That is very sad to read - the theft and the bad things happening at your place. I think people are almost same everywhere on the planet - Good and Bad. I am sure the Lord is watching all of us and so He will take care of us. I am happy for you that you are planning to go out shopping for your Son and I do hope that this day would bring you the right mood of Christmas. I remember your earlier discussion that you were being provided with some decorations for Christmas that you could select from to put up in your room. So what is my dear lady planning? Wishing you a good health dear MsHatley

I told I had asked twice and still got no heaterShe is known to get results. Meantime Im happy that I got my son some things he really needs so he does not have to ea out so much as that does cost. I have a f eeling that God will help about my diabetic equipement once i tell him ab out what hap pened and ask him to order them to allow me to have the diabetic equipment in m y ro om. @Hatley There are lockers that to not need a key, but a combination of numbers. If your son buy one of those, you do not need to hide the keys, only to remember the combination.

So sorry that this has happened to you. You are correct though. Some persons have no problem with stealing. The news last night reported how many people, men and women are stealing packages off peoples porches. They are being filmed with security cameras and it is just incredible that they are doing this in broad daylight, probably following the UPS truck around a neighborhood.

Sorry to hear about your misfortunes. Unfortunately, to some people, the festive period is an opportunity to take advantage of people at a time many have dropped their guard and are relaxing and enjoying what should be a happy time.

@Hatley Who knows what's going through their minds. I suspect they probably view theft as being the easier of their options!!
