Thin Mints

I was a Girl Scout. My sister was also a Girl Scout. My mother LOVED mint and chocolate together. Needless to say, Girl Scout Thin Mints were our FAVORITES. Sadly, the company that the local branch of the Girl Scouts gets their cookies from hasn't had Elic safe Thin Mints the last two or three years. ?? However, we were looking to see if our friendly neighborhood grocery store had any Blue Bell Bullets in. No joy on the Blue Bell front, but I found Good Humor Girl Scout Thin Mint bars! First I read the ingredients, as always. Oh JOY! They are Elic safe! We grab two boxes and head to the check out. Well, if you are smart, you have done all your shopping BEFORE you get your frozen goods... We did NOT come straight home and break out the Thin Mints, tempting as it was, we actually ate some "real" food. And the verdict is... YUM!!! If you are like my family, and LOVE chocolate and mint... go find these! If you are like one of my ex-roommates and hate them, well... more for me!

Junior Mints I've discovered I can't eat, like the one company who makes the cookies. However, I LOVE York Peppermint Patties!

@sugartoes Oh yeah! Reese's peanut butter cups! I suspect that those were Dad's favorite chocolates. Hey, I come by my sweet tooth honestly!

Oh yeah! My mother would buy 12 boxes of Thin Mints and eat maybe 6 a day and would last the whole year. After she moved into the retirement place and had a smaller fridge, I kept the extra boxes in my freezer and bring over a couple every other month.

@fishtiger58 Oh, they are totally better frozen. Keebler makes a very good Thin Mint alternative called Grasshoppers, they are better frozen too.
